Candidate Privacy Notice

We process personal data that you provide to us as part of your application, including your contact details, application documents, qualifications, employment history, interview notes and other information relevant to the recruitment process. The purpose of the processing is to assess your application, conduct the recruitment process and decide whether to enter into an employment relationship with you. The legal basis is Section 26(1) German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) in conjunction with Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. Where necessary, we may also process your data to protect our legitimate interests, in particular to establish, exercise or defend legal claims, based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Your application data will only be shared internally with persons involved in the recruitment process. We may also use external service providers, such as email or applicant management providers, who process data on our behalf. If your application is unsuccessful, we will generally delete your application data after six months, unless longer storage is required for legal reasons or you have consented to longer retention, for example for a talent pool. You have the right to request access to your personal data, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability, subject to the legal requirements. You may also object to processing based on legitimate interests. You have the right to lodge a complaint with a competent data protection supervisory authority.
